In The News
The Trump administration tried to revoke Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students by terminating Harvard’s certification status to enroll international students and scholars. A federal judge temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s attempt after Harvard filed a lawsuit on May 23, 2025.
On May 27, 2025 the Trump administration announced a pause on new student visa interviews ahead of plans to update policies on social media vetting. This will impact the ability of many international students to travel to the U.S. as the Trump administration continues to weaponize immigration.
Our international students and scholars need our continued support. The Trump administration continues to target systems of higher education through funding cuts, threats, and attacks on international students. Contact your universities and elected officials to advocate for protections for current and incoming international students and scholars.
